Ankylosaurus

Ankylosaurus was a special kind of dinosaur that lived a very long time ago, about 70–66 million years ago. It lived in what is now western North America. This dinosaur was one of the last dinosaurs before a big change happened to the Earth.

Ankylosaurus was about as long as two school buses put together! It had a wide, strong body and walked on all four legs. What made it special was its armor. Its body was covered with bony plates, like a suit of armor, to keep it safe. It also had a big, heavy club at the end of its tail. Scientists think it might have used this club to protect itself.

This dinosaur had a beak-like mouth and ate plants. It had a low skull with two horns on the back of its head. Ankylosaurus was first found by a scientist named Barnum Brown in 1908 in Montana. Since then, more fossils have been found in places like Alberta and Wyoming.

Ankylosaurus is very famous and appears in many pictures, movies, and artworks. It is one of the most well-known armored dinosaurs, loved by kids and grown-ups all over the world. Even though we have learned a lot about it, there is still more to discover about this amazing creature.
