British Columbia is a beautiful place in western Canada. It is next to the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. This land has many different kinds of places! You can find rocky coasts, sandy beaches, thick forests, calm lakes, tall mountains, dry deserts, and green grassy lands.
Neighbors and Cities
British Columbia touches many places. To the east is Alberta. To the north are Yukon and the Northwest Territories. To the south, it borders three U.S. states: Washington, Idaho, and Montana. To the northwest, it touches Alaska.
About 5.7 million people live here. The capital city is Victoria, but the biggest city is Vancouver. Vancouver is part of a big area with many towns and cities around it.
Nature and Wildlife
British Columbia has amazing nature. You can see tall trees, clear rivers, and mountains covered in snow. Many animals live here, like bears, deer, and birds. The forests are full of life, and the oceans are home to fish and sea creatures. People love to visit parks and go hiking, camping, and fishing.
