Peking duck is a very special and tasty dish that comes from Beijing in China. People have enjoyed this food for many, many years, even when emperors and empresses lived there.

What makes Peking duck so yummy is its very thin and crispy skin. The ducks used for this dish are raised with lots of space to move around, and they are fed special food. After about 65 days, they are ready to be cooked.

When it is time to eat Peking duck, the duck is cut right in front of the diners. It is often served with soft pancakes, cucumber, and sweet bean sauce. People wrap the duck slices into the pancakes with the cucumber and sauce inside, making a delicious roll.

Peking duck has become famous all over the world. Visitors, leaders, and people from many countries enjoy this tasty food. Two famous restaurants, Quanjude and Bianyifang, are known for making the best Peking duck in Beijing.
