Pythagoras

Pythagoras was a wise teacher who lived a very long time ago in Greece. He loved numbers and shapes. People remember him for teaching important ideas about math.

One of the biggest ideas he shared is called the Pythagorean theorem. This theorem helps us understand how the sides of a triangle are related. It is very useful and is still used in schools today!

Pythagoras also believed in being kind and fair. He started a school where people could learn together. They studied math, music, and good ways to live. His ideas helped many famous thinkers later on, like Plato and Aristotle.

Pythagoras came from the island of Samos. Later, he moved to a city called Croton in Italy, where he taught many students. People told fun stories about him, like that he could talk to animals and even remember past lives!

His love for numbers and patterns influenced many great minds, even people who lived hundreds of years after him, like Nicolaus Copernicus and Johannes Kepler. Pythagoras showed how math can help us understand the world around us.
