Smooth-Coated Otter
The smooth-coated otter is a special kind of otter that lives in parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia. These otters have short, smooth fur that looks different from other otters. They love to swim and play in the water all day long.
Smooth-coated otters are not very common today. Their homes, like wetlands, are sometimes lost or polluted. This makes it hard for them to find food and stay safe. Many people care about these otters and work to protect them and their homes.
These otters are smart and good at finding food. They eat fish, small animals, and even shrimp. In some places, they help people catch fish by chasing them into nets. This helps both the otters and the people.
Smooth-coated otters live in groups and rest on sandy riverbanks. They make cute sounds like whistles and chirps to talk to each other. Even though they face many challenges, these wonderful animals are important for keeping nature healthy and beautiful.
