Meet the Spotted-necked Otter
The spotted-necked otter is a big, friendly animal that loves to play in the water. It lives in sub-Saharan Africa, especially near lakes and rivers. You can find them in places like Lake Victoria. These otters have soft fur that is chocolate brown with white spots on their neck and chest. They look very cute with their small ears and round noses.
Spotted-necked otters are great swimmers. They have webbed paws and strong tails that help them move quickly in the water. They like to hunt for small fish, frogs, and other tiny creatures. These otters are very clever and help keep the water clean and healthy.
These otters are also social animals. Sometimes, they live in small family groups and make cute whistles and chatters to talk to each other. They rest at night in cozy spots like burrows or among thick plants. Even though they face some challenges, like losing their homes, these wonderful creatures are important to their environment.
