AMBAO

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience

AMBAO is a special label for chocolate that comes from the Belgian Ministry of Economic Affairs. This label shows that a chocolate product was made only with cocoa fats. It has no other plant fats or artificial additives added.

The AMBAO label was created to help protect chocolate quality. This was because of rules set by the European Cocoa and Chocolate Directive. These rules allowed some non-cocoa fats in chocolate. The AMBAO mark makes sure that chocolates with this label are made purely from cocoa fats. This keeps them natural and true to traditional chocolate.
