Blondie (confection)

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience

A delicious hazelnut blondie dessert made from a recipe by Felicity Cloake.

A blondie is a type of dessert bar from the United States. Unlike chocolate brownies, blondies are made with brown sugar and vanilla. This gives them a lighter color and a sweet, buttery taste. People love blondies because they taste rich and have a soft texture. They are usually made with butter, eggs, and flour. Sometimes they have nuts or raisins in them, which makes each blondie taste a little different. Blondies are popular all over the world and people of all ages enjoy them.

History

The term "brownie" used to include both chocolate brownies and blondies. The first recipe for any kind of brownie was written by Fannie Farmer in 1896, and it used molasses. As chocolate brownies grew more popular in the early 1900s, the name "brownie" became mostly linked with chocolate. By the mid-1900s, molasses-based brownies were called "blonde brownies," which later became just "blondies."
