Allied Universal

Allied Universal is a big company in the United States that provides security guards and staffing services. It was created in 2016 when two companies, AlliedBarton and Universal Services of America, joined together. The company has offices in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania and Irvine, California.

AlliedBarton

AlliedBarton began as Allied Security in 1957 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It provided security guards and services.

Universal Protection Service

Universal Protection Service started in 1965 as a cleaning company. Later, it began offering security services.

After the 2016 merger

In 2016, AlliedBarton and Universal Services of America merged to form Allied Universal. The company started using its new name in February 2017 and became the largest security company in North America.

Allied Universal has grown by buying other companies. It now has many employees and big contracts, including with the Department of Homeland Security.

Services and operations

Allied Universal offers services to help keep places safe and clean. These services include checking who enters a building, watching for alarms, and using video to monitor activity. They also provide cleaning services, help with planning changes at work, and offer jobs to people who need them.
