Anthony Washington (discus thrower)

Anthony Washington (born January 16, 1966) is an American former discus thrower. He competed in three Summer Olympics. At the 1999 World Championships in Seville, Washington won a gold medal in discus throw.

Washington went to Syracuse University and finished his studies in 1990. He was part of the men's track and field team. His best throws are 71.14 m in discus and 59.58 m in hammer throw. He is a four-time national champion in discus.

He was in a Snickers commercial for the Olympics.

International competitions

Anthony Washington was an American athlete who threw the discus in the Olympics three times. He won a gold medal at the 1999 World Championships in Seville for discus throwing. He went to Syracuse University and finished his studies there in 1990. He was part of the school's track and field team.
