Canada competed at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, United States. This was an important event for Canada, as they had been in every Winter Olympic Games up to that point.

The Winter Olympics brought together athletes from many countries. They competed in sports like skating and skiing. For Canada, it was a chance to show their skills and compete against the best in the world. The Games were held in February 1980. Many Canadian athletes worked hard to win medals and make their country proud.
