Chad at the Olympics

Chad has sent athletes to many Summer Olympic Games. They first joined in 1964 and have been in every Summer Olympics since 1984, except in 1976 and 1980. Even though they have tried many times, Chad has not yet won an Olympic medal. None of Chad's athletes have ever competed in the Winter Olympic Games.

The group that helps Chad's athletes is called the Comité Olympique et Sportif Tchadien. It started in 1963 and was officially recognized in 1964. This group works to support Chad's sports teams and their Olympic efforts.
