Christopher Plys was born on August 13, 1987. He is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. He is currently the third on Team John Shuster.

Plys has achieved many great accomplishments in his sport. He is a World Junior Champion and has won the National Men's Champion five times.

Plys also represented the United States at the Winter Olympics. He was the alternate for the men's team at the 2010 Winter Olympics. More recently, he was part of both the men's team and the mixed doubles team at the 2022 Winter Olympics. His contributions have helped make the United States a strong competitor in curling.

Career

Chris Plys started curling when he was eleven years old in 1998. He played in seven Junior National Championships in a row and won five times. He led his team four of those times. He won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Sweden in 2008 and a bronze medal in 2009.

Plys joined Team John Shuster and helped them win the United States Men's Curling Championship in 2019 and 2020. They were supposed to compete in more events, but these were cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, they played in the World Men's Curling Championship but lost to Switzerland in the playoffs.

Personal life

Chris Plys owns a company called Plys Superior Consulting. As of 2025, he is engaged to be married.
