Cratinus Junior, also known as Cratinus the Younger, was a funny poet who lived in the 4th century BC. He was part of what is called the Middle Comedy. He lived around the same time as famous people like Plato and Corydus.

Scholars think he was active in the middle of the 4th century BC. Some believe he may have lived as late as 324 BC. There are even ideas that he could have been around during the time of Ptolemy II Philadelphus. His work was an important part of the funny plays of that time.
