Emblem of Kyrgyzstan

Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience

The State Emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Emblem of Kyrgyzstan was adopted in 1994. It has a circular shape and is mostly blue, a color that represents courage and generosity for the Kyrgyz people. Similar colors are also found on the flag of Kazakhstan and the emblem of Kazakhstan.

On the left and right sides of the emblem, you can see drawings of wheat and cotton, which are important crops in Kyrgyzstan. At the top of the emblem, the name of the country appears in the Kyrgyz language, written as "Кыргыз Республикасы" (Kyrgyz Respublikasy).

The design of this emblem was created by two artists named A. Abdraev and S. Dubanaev. The emblem is a symbol of the pride and identity of the people of Kyrgyzstan.

Description

The emblem of Kyrgyzstan is a circle with blue as its main color. At the bottom is a white falcon named "Ak Shumkar." In Kyrgyz stories, the falcon means purity and noble thoughts. Behind the falcon are pictures of Issyk-Kul and the snowy peaks of the Ala-Too mountains, including the Tian Shan peaks. Above the mountains, the sun rises with golden rays. These rays stand for the forty clans of Manas.

In the middle, there is a decorative frame. The words “Кыргыз” (Kyrgyz) are at the top, and “Республикасы” (Republic) are at the bottom. The sides of the frame show designs from traditional Kyrgyz patterns, open cotton bolls, and ears of wheat. These are important crops in Kyrgyzstan.

History

Before it became its own country, Kyrgyzstan used a design like other Soviet republics. After it gained independence, the new emblem kept some parts from the old design. These parts included wheat, cotton, a rising sun, and a view of the Ala-Too mountains.
