Euharamiyida
Euharamiyida, also called Eleutherodontida, were early mammals or mammal-like animals. They lived from the Middle Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous periods. We find them in Eurasia and maybe North America.
Scientists sometimes think this group is close to another group called Multituberculata. Or, they might have come from the synapsid line earlier.
There is talk about if Euharamiyida are related to haramiyids from the Late Triassic, like Haramiyavia. By looking at their teeth, we know these animals probably ate plants or a mix of plants and small animals. Some might have lived in trees and could glide through the air, like flying squirrels today.
Evolution
Scientists are still learning where euharamiyidans fit among early mammals. Some think they were a special kind of mammal called multituberculates. Others believe they were very early relatives of mammals. This depends on how they connect to older creatures from the Triassic period, like Haramiyavia and Thomasia. Some studies show these groups may not be related at all.
