Plot

Forrest was born in Alabama with a curved spine and needed special leg braces. His mom rented rooms in their home to tenants like Elvis Presley. At school, Forrest made a friend named Jenny, but some kids bullied him because he looked different. One day, his leg braces broke off while he was running away, and he discovered he could run very fast. This helped him get a football scholarship at the University of Alabama.

After finishing school, Forrest joined the U.S. Army and met a friend named Bubba. They went together to Vietnam, where Forrest showed great bravery. Sadly, Bubba was killed, but Forrest saved many of his friends. For his courage, he received a special award.

When Forrest returned home, he became good at ping-pong and even met famous people. He kept his promise to Bubba by starting a shrimping business, which became very successful. Forrest also helped his community with his earnings.

Later, Forrest met Jenny again, and they had a son together. Even though Jenny faced many hard times, they eventually got married. But she became very sick and passed away. In the end, Forrest watched his son start school, with the same feather from the beginning floating in the wind.
