Ice hockey

In the 1964 Winter Olympics, Japan played in the ice hockey event. In the first round, teams that won moved on to compete for better positions, while the teams that lost played for other positions.
Later, Japan had some exciting games. They won against Norway and Romania, drew with Austria, and had close matches against Yugoslavia, Poland, Hungary, and Italy.
