Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience
Lesotho competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 5 to August 21, 2016. This was the eleventh time Lesotho joined the Olympics, except for the 1976 Summer Olympics when it did not take part.
Lesotho sent its largest team ever since the 1996 Summer Olympics. Eight athletes, seven men and one woman, competed in three sports: athletics, boxing, and mountain biking. Mountain biking was a new sport for Lesotho.
The team was led by track sprinter Mosito Lehata, who had also competed in London 2012. He carried Lesotho’s flag during the opening ceremony. Lesotho has joined many Olympics but has not yet won a medal.
