Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience

The One of a Kind World Tour was the first big concert trip around the world led by South Korean singer and rapper G-Dragon. He did this tour to support his first EP called One of a Kind, which came out in 2012.

During the tour in 2013, G-Dragon traveled to 9 different countries and performed in 13 cities. All together, more than 570,000 fans came to see his shows. This made the tour the most popular concert trip ever for a Korean solo artist at that time.

The tour showed how much people loved G-Dragon's music and helped make him even more famous around the world. It was a big moment in his career and for Korean pop music.

Background

On January 14, 2013, YG Entertainment announced G-Dragon's first world tour. This was his first solo concert since 2009. The tour cost $3.5 million to produce, making it the biggest concert tour in Korean history at that time. It was directed by choreographers Travis Payne and Stacy Walker, who had worked on Michael Jackson's This Is It concerts. The stage was designed by Michael Cotten, who has created designs for big events like the Super Bowl, the Olympics, and concerts for Jackson.

Reception

Billboard said G-Dragon was a very energetic performer and that his tour was full of color and excitement. KpopStarz called the concert amazing and said G-Dragon could make his own special style on stage.

MWave said G-Dragon showed he is truly one of a kind, using his own style and personality. MeRadio liked the great choice of songs, special light effects, fireworks, and holograms, as well as G-Dragon's charm on stage. In Japan, G-Dragon became the first Korean solo artist to perform in four large dome arenas.

The One of a Kind World Tour had special guests join G-Dragon. These guests were members of his band Big Bang, such as Taeyang, T.O.P, Seungri, and Daesung. Other artists included 2NE1, CL, Tablo, and Lee Hi.
