Saltimbocca
Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience
Saltimbocca is a tasty Italian dish that people also enjoy in southern Switzerland. It is made from thin slices of veal. These slices are wrapped with prosciutto and sage. The dish is then marinated in wine, oil, or salt water, depending on where it is made or what someone likes.
The original version is called saltimbocca alla romana, which means "Roman-style saltimbocca." This version uses veal, prosciutto, and sage. The ingredients are rolled up and cooked in dry white wine and butter. Sometimes, Marsala wine is used instead. In some recipes, the veal and prosciutto are left flat instead of being rolled.
In America, people sometimes make a variation of this dish using chicken or pork instead of veal. No matter how it is made, saltimbocca is a delicious and popular meal enjoyed by many.
