Student television station
Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience
A student television station is a television station run by university, high or middle school students. It mostly shows school or university news. It may also show shows made by students, like soap operas and entertainment programs.
At the high school level and below, working for a school's television station is often an extracurricular activity. It can also be part of a journalism class at the school. In this class, students learn about journalism and make school news reports. Student television stations at this level usually broadcast through the school's closed circuit television system. Working for a middle or high school student television station can be an option for students interested in journalism who do not want to work at a school newspaper. Studio and production space is often provided by a community or local public-access television stations.
At the university level, student television stations can be a student organization or a broadcast journalism laboratory. These stations often make more original shows than high school stations. A university student television station may be supported by the university, or it may pay for itself with money from advertising on the channel.
