Velatice is a small village and municipality in the Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. About 800 people live there.

The village is about 10 kilometres, or roughly 6 miles, east of the city of Brno. From the capital city, Prague, it is about 195 kilometres, or 121 miles, to the southeast to reach Velatice Prague. Velatice is in a beautiful part of the Czech Republic, close to important cities but still peaceful.
