Victor Emery (born June 28, 1933) is a Canadian athlete and businessman who became famous in bobsleigh. He was born in Montreal, Quebec.

Emery won a gold medal in the four-man bobsleigh at the 1964 Olympic Winter Games. He also won gold at the 1965 World Championships. His love for bobsleigh began when he got a ride on a bobsleigh while trying to ski to the 1956 Winter Olympics.

Emery’s passion for bobsleigh grew when the British Bobsleigh Team gave him a lift. With help from the famous Eugenio Monti, Emery and his teammates worked hard to make Canada proud at the Winter Olympics. Their big moment came in 1964 when they won the gold medal. They succeeded because of strong teamwork and quick fixes during the race.

After stopping his bobsleigh career in 1967, Emery focused on other projects, like helping to revive the Lake Louise Ski area. Today, he lives in Europe. Emery and his teammates are honoured in Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and Canada’s Olympic Hall of Fame for their amazing achievements.
