Alessandro Talotti (7 October 1980 – 16 May 2021) was an Italian high jumper. He was known for his skill and dedication to the sport. Talotti represented Italy in many competitions, showing great talent and sportsmanship. His contributions to high jump helped inspire many young athletes.
Biography
Alessandro Talotti was an Italian high jumper who finished fourth at the 2002 European Championships in Athletics and twelfth at the 2004 Olympic Games. He also took part in the 2003 World Championships, the 2005 European Indoor Championships, and the 2008 Olympic Games, though he did not reach the final. He was the Italian high jump champion in 2000 and 2004, beating out other great athletes like Giulio Ciotti, Nicola Ciotti, and Andrea Bettinelli.
Talotti's best jump was 2.30 metres, which he achieved in June 2003 in Florence and matched three more times. In January 2005, he jumped 2.32 metres indoors in Glasgow. Talotti passed away from stomach cancer on May 16, 2021, at the age of 40.
