The Beja District (Portuguese: Distrito de Beja) is found in the southern part of Portugal. The main city in this district is called Beja. This district is very big—it is the largest one in all of Portugal. It takes up about 11% of the whole country’s land. On one side, it touches the country of Spain.

The Beja District in Portugal has 14 different areas called municipalities. These include places like Aljustrel, Almodôvar, Alvito, and others up to Vidigueira. Each of these municipalities is further split into smaller groups called parishes, with a total of 75 parishes in the whole district.
