Birmingham International Carnival

Birmingham International Carnival is a big, happy event that happens every two years in August in Birmingham, England. It celebrates the culture, arts, food, and fun of the Caribbean people.

Caribbean-style carnivals started in Handsworth Park in Birmingham from 1984 to 1994. After that, the carnival moved to the streets of Handsworth and was called the Birmingham Carnival. Since 1999, it has been known as the Birmingham International Carnival and takes place in Perry Barr in Perry Park, after a colorful parade from Handsworth's Soho Road.

The carnival is a wonderful time for everyone to enjoy music, dancing, colorful costumes, and tasty food from different cultures. It brings people together to share in the joy and traditions of the Caribbean.
