Canada at the 1932 Summer Olympics
Adapted from Wikipedia Β· Discoverer experience
Canada took part in the 1932 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, United States. Even though the world was facing tough times because of the Great Depression, Canada sent one of its biggest teams ever to the games. There were 102 athletes from Canada, including 85 men and 17 women, who competed in 69 different events across 10 sports.
A member of the Canadian Olympic Committee, named W. A. Fry, wrote a book about Canadaβs performance in both the 1932 Winter and Summer Olympics. His book, called Canada at the tenth Olympiad, 1932, came out in 1933. It was printed by the Dunnville Chronicle and was dedicated to a Canadian sports person, Francis Nelson, who passed away that same year.
