Traditional Argentine pastries called Facturas, popular breakfast treats influenced by German immigration.

Facturas are a special kind of pastry popular in Argentina. These tasty treats were brought over by people who came from Italy, Germany, and France. When they arrived, the Sociedad Cosmopolita de Resistencia y Colocación de Obreros Panaderos renamed the different types of pastries in a way that showed their support for anarchism.

In another nearby country, Uruguay, people enjoy similar baked goods, but they call them bizcochos. Facturas come in many flavors and are enjoyed by many as a delicious snack or dessert.
