Henrik Tömmernes

Joakim Henrik Tömmernes (born 28 August 1990) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman. He currently plays for Frölunda HC in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Henrik was chosen by the Vancouver Canucks in the seventh round, 210th overall, of the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
He played four seasons with Frölunda HC in the Elitserien before moving to North America to join the Canucks' minor league team in Utica. Henrik is known for his strong leadership skills. He has served as captain or alternate captain for several teams, including leading his country as captain in 2021.
Playing career
Henrik Tömmernes started his hockey journey playing junior hockey with Färjestad BK. In his first season, he helped the team win the J18 Allsvenskan championship, and the next season they finished second. He then moved to Frölunda HC, where he continued to play well and even joined their top team in the Elitserien league.
Later, he played in the SHL and had a standout season with 20 points. He was then chosen by the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL draft. After some injuries and moving between teams, he joined Genève-Servette HC and helped them win the NL title in 2023 after many years with the team.
