ISBL

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Discoverer experience

ISBL stands for Information Systems Base Language. It was a special way of writing and working with data that was created for PRTV. PRTV was one of the very first systems to use a smart idea about organizing information, called the relational model. This idea was the work of a person named E.F. Codd. ISBL helped people tell the computer exactly how to find and change information in these early databases, making it easier to work with large amounts of data.

Example

The example shows how to find information from a database. It uses a special way to connect two pieces of data, called "ORDERS" and "SUPPLIERS". The goal is to look for something named "Brooks" and then show details like the item name and price.
