The Manchester Locomotive Works was a company in Manchester, New Hampshire that made steam engines used on trains and fire engines in the 1800s. It built its first train engine for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad in March 1855.

Later, the company bought more tools and parts from another factory called the Amoskeag Locomotive Works in 1859. In 1876, it also started making steam fire engines from the same place.

In 1901, Manchester Locomotive Works joined with seven other companies to create a bigger group called the American Locomotive Company, known as ALCO. The factory stopped making train engines in 1913.
