French athlete Maël Tyrode competing in the Nordic Combined World Cup in Oberhof during the 2025/26 season.

Maël Tyrode was born on 31 July 2000 and is a French Nordic combined skier. Nordic combined is a sport that combines ski jumping and cross-country skiing.

Tyrode represented France at the 2026 Winter Olympics, showing his skill and dedication to the sport. Competing in such a big event is a big achievement for any athlete, and it highlights the hard work and training that athletes put in to reach the Olympic stage.

Career

In January 2026, France received an extra spot for Nordic combined skiing, and Maël Tyrode was chosen to be the third skier to represent his country at the 2026 Winter Olympics. He joined teammates Laurent Muhlethaler and Marco Heinis.

Maël Tyrode competed in two events. On February 11, he took part in the individual normal hill and finished in 25th place. Then, on February 17, he competed in the individual large hill and came in 17th place.
