Saint-Jean-de-Braye is a commune in the Loiret department in north-central France. It is located east of the city of Orléans and is considered one of its suburbs. The area has a rich history and is known for being the birthplace of Norbert Dufourcq, an organist and musicologist who lived from 1904 to 1990.

In February 2020, something unusual happened in Saint-Jean-de-Braye. The local government, called the municipal council, decided to stop its partnership with a town in Poland named Tuchów. This decision came after Tuchów made a statement that many people found upsetting and unfair toward certain groups of people. Because of this, Saint-Jean-de-Braye chose to end their friendship connection with Tuchów.
