Zaire at the 1984 Summer Olympics

Zaire, now called the Democratic Republic of the Congo, took part in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, United States. This was the first time the nation had competed in the Olympic Games in 16 years, since it last appeared as Congo-Kinshasa. The Olympics is a big event where athletes from all over the world come together to compete in many different sports. For Zaire, this was an important moment to show their athletes and support the spirit of the Games.
