110th Street in Manhattan

110th Street is a special street in New York City, in the area called Manhattan. It is also known as Central Park North because it marks the very top edge of Central Park. People love walking here to see the park and visit nearby schools and buildings.

The street runs from First Avenue on the east to Madison Avenue on the west. A small part between Madison and Fifth Avenue goes the other way. West of Fifth Avenue, the street is wider and is also called Cathedral Parkway.

Some fun places to see on 110th Street include the huge Cathedral of St. John the Divine and the Duke Ellington Memorial at Duke Ellington Circle. There are also four subway stops to help people travel around the city easily. Many famous people, like George Gershwin, have lived here and created wonderful music.
