American Football

American football is a fun and exciting game played by two teams. It is very popular in the United States and Canada. The goal is to move an oval ball down the field and score points by getting it into the other team's end zone for a touchdown.

The sport began in the United States and came from games like soccer and rugby. The first game was played on November 6, 1869 between Rutgers and Princeton. Today, it is loved by many, especially during the Super Bowl.

American football is also growing in other countries like Brazil and Japan. A safer version called flag football will be part of the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Playing the Game

A football game has two teams with eleven players each. They try to move the ball and score points. There are different ways to score, like touchdowns and field goals. Players wear special uniforms and numbers to help follow the rules.
