Princess Anne

Princess Anne is a special member of the British royal family. She was born on August 15, 1950, at Clarence House in London. She is the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the sister of King Charles III.

Anne loves horses and is very good at equestrian sports. She won medals at the European Eventing Championships in 1971 and 1975. In 1976, she became the first royal to compete in the Olympic Games. She has been on the International Olympic Committee since 1988.

Princess Anne helps with many important tasks for the queen. She has taken part in over 20,000 events since 1968. She supports many groups, like WISE, Riders for Health, Carers Trust, and Transaid. She has worked with Save the Children for over 50 years.

Anne married Captain Mark Phillips in 1973, and they have two children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall. In 1992, she married Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
