Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a special place in southwestern Uganda. It is found along the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, next to the Virunga National Park. The park is made of thick, green forests that are full of life.

This park is very important for nature. It has many kinds of plants, birds, and animals. One of the most famous animals here is the mountain gorilla. These big, gentle creatures live in families in the forest. Rangers work hard to keep them safe.

The park became a protected area in 1991 to help save its wildlife. People from all over the world visit to see the beautiful forests and meet the gorillas. Guides take small groups through the trees so everyone can enjoy the park safely.

Bwindi helps provide water for nearby places. Many rivers start in the park and flow into larger lakes like Lake Edward. The forest also keeps the air clean and the soil healthy.

The park is a World Heritage Site, chosen by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization for its special plants and animals. It is one of the few places where low and high mountain forests meet, making it a home for many different creatures.
