Cheltenham is a lovely town in England. It is close to a beautiful area called the Cotswolds and is famous for its old buildings and fun events.
A Town of Springs and Spas
Long ago, people found special mineral springs in Cheltenham. These springs made the town a popular spot for health and relaxing holidays. Today, visitors can still enjoy the waters at the old Pittville Pump Room.
Festive Fun
Cheltenham loves to celebrate! Every year, the town hosts many colorful festivals. You can enjoy music at the Cheltenham Music Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Festival, learn about science at the Cheltenham Science Festival, or read books at the Cheltenham Literature Festival. In March, horse racing fans gather for the exciting Cheltenham Festival and the famous Gold Cup race.

The town is known for its pretty Regency architecture. Many old buildings still stand, showing off their elegant style. One special place is the Cheltenham Town Hall, built in 1902.

Cheltenham is near lovely green spaces. The small River Chelt runs through the town, and nearby Cleeve Hill offers great views. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful walk or a picnic.
