Old Roman Town
Long ago, the Romans called Cirencester "Corinium." It was an important place for an ancient British tribe called the Dobunni. You can see old Roman treasures at the Corinium Museum. The town has a hidden shape of an old Roman amphitheatre in a park, showing how big it was in Roman times.
