Companion Parrots

Companion parrots are special birds that people keep as pets. They love to be with their human friends and talk a lot. Parrots can be big or small, and they all need care to stay happy and healthy.

Some popular parrots that make great companions are amazons, greys, cockatoos, eclectuses, hawk-headed parrots, and macaws. Smaller parrots like caiques, conures, Quaker parrots, cockatiels, and budgies are also wonderful pets.

Parrots need a lot of attention and care. They need a big cage to move around, fresh foods like fruits and vegetables, and toys to play with. They also need check-ups with a bird doctor and time out of their cage to play and explore.

Parrots can be very smart and loving. When they feel safe, they like to be petted and cuddled. They can even learn tricks and help people in special ways. Parrots need a safe home with no sharp objects or fans, especially if there are young children around.

Parrots live for a very long time, so it's important to be ready to care for them for many years. With the right care, parrots can be wonderful, friendly friends.
