The Coral Triangle is a wonderful place in the warm waters near Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste. It looks like a big triangle on a map and is full of colorful corals and many sea animals.

This special area is called the “Amazon of the seas” because it has so many different kinds of sea life. You can find beautiful reefs, friendly reef fish, and even sea turtles swimming here. The Coral Triangle also has the largest mangrove forests in the world, which help keep the water clean and give homes to many sea creatures.

Many people work to protect the Coral Triangle because it is so important. Groups like the World Wide Fund for Nature help take care of this amazing place. Some of its reefs, like the Tubbataha Reef Natural Park and Raja Ampat, are special places protected by UNESCO.

The Coral Triangle gives food and jobs to many people who live near it. It is a beautiful home for sea animals and a special part of our world’s oceans.
