When Cuban families moved to other cities, they brought their sandwich with them. Today, you can find Cuban sandwiches in many places, like Miami.

In Tampa, some people like to add salami to their Cuban sandwich. But in Miami, they usually do not. This makes for a friendly contest between the two cities about who makes the best sandwich! In 2012, Tampa even made the Cuban sandwich their special city sandwich.
