Double mini trampoline
Adapted from Wikipedia · Explorer experience
Double mini trampolines are fun and exciting! They are a special kind of gymnastics activity. People use them to jump and do flips in the air.
A double mini trampoline is smaller than the big trampolines you might see at a park. It has two parts: one part is angled, and the other is flat. Athletes jump onto the angled part and then flip onto the flat part. After that, they do more flips and twists before landing safely on a mat.
People from all over the world compete in double mini trampoline events. The International Federation of Gymnastics helps organize these competitions. Even though it is not in the Olympics yet, the best athletes compete in big international events.
The double mini trampoline was created in 1970 by Robert F Bollinger and George Nissen. They joined two small mini trampolines together to make this fun new sport. The first big competition happened in 1973 in London, England. Since then, the sport has grown and changed, with a wider version becoming the standard today.
