English

English is a word we use in many ways! It most often means the English language or the English people.

The English language is spoken by many people around the world. It comes from England, a country in Europe. Lots of books, songs, and movies are made in English.

The English people live mostly in England. They have a rich history and many traditions.

We can also find the word “English” in some special places, like towns named English, Indiana or English, Kentucky. And sometimes, “English” is used in sports, like a special way to play chess called the English Defence.
