Eritrea has a rich history that goes back over a million years. One of the oldest known early human fossils, called Madam Buya, was found here. This helps scientists learn about our ancient ancestors. Today, Eritrea is home to many different groups of people, each with their own languages and traditions. The most widely spoken language is Tigrinya, but Arabic and English are also used. Most people practice either Christianity or Islam.
The country has a mix of high mountains and flat areas, with many plants and animals. You can see beautiful birds and mammals such as Abyssinian hares and warthogs. Eritrea’s coastlines and islands add to its natural beauty.
