Fomboni

Fomboni is a city in the beautiful country of Comoros. It is the biggest city on the island of Mohéli and is called the capital of the Autonomous Island of Mohéli. About 19,000 people live in Fomboni, and it is the fifth-largest city in all of Comoros.

Fomboni is a quiet and peaceful place. You can visit an old market where people buy and sell things, and there is a jetty where boats come and go. The city has small buildings, mostly just one floor tall. Not far away, in a village called Djoezi, there is an airport called Mohéli Bandar Es Eslam Airport.

Fomboni is special because of an important agreement called the "Fomboni Accords" that was made there in 2001. The city also has a football club named Fomboni FC. Every year, Fomboni enjoys warm weather, with lots of rain, especially from November to April.

Fomboni has been home to some important people from the past, like rulers of Mohéli, and even some good football players such as Malaga Soulaimana, Salimo Velonjara, and Faouz Faidine Attoumane.
