What is Frying?

Frying is a fun way to cook food. It uses oil or fat to make food tasty and crispy. You can fry many foods, like chicken and potatoes. When food is fried, it turns brown and looks very nice.

How Does Frying Work?

When food touches hot oil, interesting things happen. The water inside the food turns to steam, and the food gets crispy. The outside turns brown and the inside gets soft. This makes the food taste yummy.

Frying Around the World

People have been frying food for a very long time. In Ancient Egypt, people fried food around 2500 BC. In India, they used a special butter called ghee to fry food. In China, an old book talks about fried rice. Frying is loved all over the world!

Fried Plantain

Fried plantain is a tasty food made by frying slices of plantain in hot oil. It is popular in many places and tastes sweet and crispy.

Deep Frying

Stir Frying
