The Great Pyramid of Cholula
The Great Pyramid of Cholula is a very special and big pyramid in Mexico. It is the largest pyramid in the whole world by size! People built it a long time ago, between the years 300 BC and 900 AD.
This pyramid is in a place called Cholula, near the city of Puebla. It is made from adobe brick and stands tall above the land around it. Even though it is not as tall as the famous Great Pyramid of Giza, it is much wider.
The pyramid was very important to the people who lived there long ago. They used it as a temple for their god, Quetzalcoatl. Today, the pyramid looks like a natural hill because a church was built on top of it. But people still visit it for special ceremonies and to learn about history.
Inside the pyramid, there are tunnels that help us learn more about it. Only some parts of these tunnels are open for visitors to see. The Great Pyramid of Cholula is a wonderful place to explore and remember the past!
